Walking Meetings
Marni Storey of Clark County Public Health finds ways to walk during the workday and helps her staff to do the same. Marni often conducts walking meetings. At first glance, a walking meeting may seem impractical. But Marni’s approach makes it easy. “We meet in my office to discuss items where we need to sit at a table and write. Then, we use the rest of the meeting time to walk. I use the time for mentoring, project brainstorming, or other discussion topics that don’t require much if any note taking.” Marni is pictured here with Hillary Hirshon and Pam Dykes in a walking meeting along a path at the Center for Public Health campus.
